“balancing the needs of our employees, customers, suppliers, and communities”
Good citizenship is our concern both at home and around the world.
We believe that balancing the needs of our employees, customers, suppliers, and communities is an important part of our heritage, as well as our future success.
To that end, we support a wide variety of charitable programs, institutions, and activities that enhance the communities in which our employees live and work.
Our involvements include financial support, serving on committees and panels, supporting pilot and start-up programs, and providing volunteer time to serve our local communities and organizations.
Some of the key organizations we support include:
United Way | Big Brothers Big Sisters |
River Bend Foodbank | Junior Achievement |
Quad City Arts | Arrowhead Ranch |
Humility of Mary Shelter | Café On Vine |
Make-A-Wish | Vera French Foundation |
Niabi Zoo |
Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability
Within our Elanders Americas facilities, aggressive programs are already in place to constantly reduce waste, minimize energy consumption and to utilize technology to improve our processes.
As you might imagine, our print facilities were early adopters of paper recycling. Today, we recycle any reusable item – including paper, plastics, chemicals, and waste water– in our aggressive approach to eliminate any impact on our environment.
When printed products are the best and most desirable form of communications, our overriding goal is to minimize our company’s environmental impact without affecting the quality of the printed product. Interest for climate neutral printed matter grew in 2011 and Elanders intensified its cooperation with paper suppliers to further reduce waste.
As evidence of our success, we have earned certifications from:
- ISO 9001:2015
- Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®-CO23218)
- Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI)*
Rest assured that energy efficiency, supply usage, ergonomics, and safety are regularly scrutinized within our operations and carefully considered when purchasing our new equipment.
At Elanders Americas, we are active participants in taking care of the planet we all share.
